Abstract

Habituation of character develops continuously. Character development in the midst of Indonesia's diversity and plurality has positive and negative impacts that are discussed in the world of education. Therefore, through education, namely character habituation, there needs to be habituation through an approach model. This is needed through habituation of multicultural characters with the perspective of Living Values Education to bring values to life in educational units. The Living Values Education approach is used as a view in presenting multicultural values. Through this approach, it is hoped that there will be implications for PAI learning in schools, the impact on education units, teachers, parents and students. Broadly speaking, Indonesia with diversity and diversity is diverse. This research is a type of qualitative research (field research) using three data collection methods, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The first is to observe preliminary studies to find out the value-based atmosphere and habituation activities of multicultural characters. Second, interviews to collect data related to perceived value-based atmosphere and value-bringing activities. Third, the documentation methods needed in research include supporting data that contains value-based atmosphere and value-generating activities and other data that support research problems. For data analysis techniques using Miles and Huberman model analysis techniques, namely data condensation, presenting data (data display), and drawing conclusions or verification (consuling drawing and verification). As for the data validity technique, researchers use data triangulation, which is a technique for checking the validity of data through the use of something from outside. This research shows that the habituation of multicultural characters from the perspective of Living Values Education at SMA Negeri 1 Kejobong and SMK Negeri 1 Kejobong. Through imagination, reflection exercises, artistic expression, self-development activities, social skills and cognitive awareness of social justice, tolerance, harmony, equality and fraternity can be brought to life values that are tailored to the school environment. In addition, if you look at the implications of Living Values Education on PAI learning, it can be seen in the PAI learning curriculum and then the material aspects by living the values of tolerance, harmony, equality and brotherhood through multicultural value activities contained in PAI learning materials.
