Abstract

At Muhammadiyah 3 Junior High School Yogyakarta, the implementation of Arabic vocabulary listening skills learning has encountered several learning issues, including the difficulty students face in identifying the sounds of Arabic vocabulary, pronouncing, and memorizing them. Furthermore, the instructional media used are not aligned with the listening competency objectives. Creative use of learning media can engage students more effectively, help them retain what they understand, and enhance their skills. Therefore, there is a need for the development of media in teaching that can address these challenges. In response to the demands of 21st-century thinking competencies, technology-based information and communication technology (ICT) learning media are suitable choices, especially in Arabic language education. One of the demands of 21st-century learning is the integration of technology as a means to develop learning skills. In addition to the aforementioned challenges, teachers have not yet implemented differentiated learning. Differentiated learning is an essential aspect emphasized in the latest curriculum, which is the independent curriculum where learning takes into account the diverse characteristics and learning styles of different students. Hence, the author aims to develop a audio multimedia flash card learning media for Arabic vocabulary listening skills, which will be implemented in differentiated learning for Arabic vocabulary listening skills. The objectives of this research are 1) to develop audio multimedia flash cards for listening skills in the Arabic language subject at Muhammadiyah 3 Junior High School Yogyakarta, and 2) to determine the results of the development of audio multimedia flash cards for listening skills in the Arabic language subject at Muhammadiyah 3 Junior High School Yogyakarta. The objectives of this study are 1) developing audio multimedia flash cards for listening skills in Arabic subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta 2) knowing the results of developing audio multimedia flash cards for listening skills in Arabic subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta This development research uses the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation). The experimental model in this study is post test only control design. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, tests and documentation. Then, data analysis techniques use mixed analysis, namely quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the study show a significant difference in post-test results between the experimental and control groups. Based on SPSS analysis, the significance value (sig) for the control and experimental groups is 0.004. Therefore, it can be concluded that the development of audio multimedia flash cards enhances students' competence in listening to Arabic vocabulary.
