Abstract

This research was motivated by the increasing number of cases of child sexual abuse. So it is very important to teach early childhood sex education to prevent sexual violence in children. However, in reality in the field parents do not have references that contain knowledge of early childhood sex education. Therefore, researchers developed e-books early childhood sex education. Development e-books Early childhood sex education aims to: find out the importance of e-book innovation as a guide for parents in introducing early childhood sex education, how to implement it and its effectiveness e-books as a guide for parents in introducing sex education to early childhood. Based on this, researchers use the media e-books as a guide for parents in introducing sex education to early childhood. This research is uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Desaign, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) developed by Dick and Carry. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques are used through quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results of this research are: (1) the importance of teaching children sex education from an early age so that learning media related to sex education is created e-books. (2) media e-books said to be suitable as a learning media with a media expert validation assessment worthiness value with an average value of 3.78 and included in the very valid category, material experts with an average value of 3.11 and included in the valid category, user experts 3.59 and included in the category very valid, (3) The effectiveness of the media in children's sex education learning with a score of 95.78 which is included in the very good category. So with the media e-books is one of the sex education learning media that can teach the importance of respecting oneself by protecting and caring for private areas.
