Abstract

This research aims to 1) design a Flip Pdf Professional-based e-book on the material of energy in daily life; 2) evaluate the feasibility of the Flip Pdf Professional-based e-book on the material of energy in daily life; 3) improve the learning outcomes of students on the material of energy in daily life; 4) measure the effectiveness of using the Flip Pdf Professional-based e-book on the material of energy in daily life. This research utilizes the ADDIE model research and development method with five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques and instruments involve observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The population for this study consists of 31 fourth-grade students at MIM Sabranglor. Data analysis incorporates both qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative data analysis follows Miles Huberman and Saldana's approach, involving data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Quantitative data analysis employs paired sample t-tests and N-Gain tests with the assistance of SPSS 26. This research yields four conclusions, namely: 1) the design of a Flip Pdf Professional-based e-book on the material of energy in daily life; 2) the Flip Pdf Professional-based e-book is deemed highly feasible for use based on assessments from experts. The average assessment from content experts is 4.33, categorized as very feasible. The assessment from media experts yields an overall average rating of 4.65, also categorized as very feasible. The assessment from small group student responses is 4.83, categorized as very feasible. The assessment from large group testing results in an average rating of 4.53, categorized as very feasible; 3) based on the results of the paired sample t-test, the average scores obtained from the pretest and posttest for the experimental and control groups are significantly different (0.000), indicating a difference between the pretest and posttest in both groups. Thus, the e-book design can improve student learning outcomes; 4) based on the N-Gain calculation results, the experimental group shows an N-Gain of 0.58 or 58%, categorized as moderately effective. The control group's N-Gain is 0.57 or 57%, also categorized as moderately effective. Therefore, the N-Gain results indicate that the Flip Pdf Professional-based e-book is moderately effective as a learning medium to enhance student learning outcomes.
