Abstract

Setigi Nature Tourism is a tourism that was built based on the participation of the Sekapuk village community. It is unique because it is a former limestone mine which was previously a rubbish dump because it was no longer used for lime mining. Setigi tourism is a potential that needs to be developed, it can help the economy of the Sekapuk residents who manage this tourist attraction. The protection and development of Setigi natural tourism itself aims to preserve the tourist village to improve welfare through developing the tourist village of Sekapuk village, Gresik district in the context of improving the economy, because this is very important considering the potential of the tourist village and its natural wealth itself. In this research, the author examines how legal protection is given to managers in the management of tourist villages and the development of Setigi natural tourism villages from Maslahah Murlah's perspective. This type of research is field research which obtains data from the field through data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation, as well as studying primary, secondary and tertiary legal documents related to the Setigi Natural Village tourist attraction. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results of the research carried out show that the implementation of the rules regarding the management of tourist villages as in Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2021, Gresik Regency is appropriate based on priorities, and has been included in the concept of Maslahah Murlahan which is Maslahah Tahsiniyah / Complementary Interests and is beneficial for the people of Sekapuk village, Gresik Regency.
