Abstract

Lazismu Wonogiri is an institution/organization located in Wonogiri Regency, Central Java, and is an Amil Zakat Institution that has played an active role in the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. In its collection, Lazismu Wonogiri was able to assist the Wonogiri Kanupaten government in alleviating poverty in Wonogiri Regency. Within a period of 3 (three) years, namely 2020-2022, Lazismu Wonogiri was able to survive and remain active in collecting funds from the community to be distributed to people who needed assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a very innovative thing to help people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic by using several strategies that have been implemented by Lazismu Wonogiri. The aim of this research is to find out the factors that influence the collection of ZIS funds during the Covid-19 pandemic and to find out what strategies were used by Lazismu Wonogiri in collecting ZIS funds during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses field research with an empirical qualitative approach. Meanwhile, the data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative. In the data collection method, the authors used observation, interviews and additional final documentation. This research uses factor theory and productive performance strategy theory to analyze the suitability of theory with the reality that occurs according to Law Number 23 of 2011 concerning Zakat Management. The research results show that there are several factors that influence the collection of ZIS funds (Zakat, Infaq and Sadaqah), namely there are internal and external factors. Internal factors include the literacy index of Muhammadiyah residents, awareness of muzakki/donors and increased public understanding. Meanwhile, external factors that influence are the role of government, promotional activities and establishing collaboration with various parties. The strategy carried out is through 3 (three) processes, namely formulation/planning, implementation and strategy evaluation. The strategy carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic was donor maintenance, collaborating with the utilization team and creating innovations and new programs that were carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic. By focusing on utilizing social media, transferring donation transactions, collaborating and creating new programs, we have succeeded in influencing the increase in ZIS fund collection during the Covid-19 pandemic.
