Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of marriage guidance to improve the quality of readiness of prospective bridal couples. Because there are quite a few cases of divorce in households. The causes are due to infidelity, lack of communication skills, too high expectations and the economy. So it is very important for each individual to prepare for marriage and understand it because it can have an effect on the marriage. An individual's expectations of their partner are very important, because it is a form of desire for relationship satisfaction as a couple. This research aims to discuss marriage guidance methods at KUA Sewon Bantul Yogyakarta. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this research were one KUA Sewon Bantul counselor and three KUA Sewon Bantul clients who had attended marriage guidance at KUA Sewon Bantul. The data collection method in this research is the interview method and documentation method. The results of this research are three marriage guidance methods used at KUA Sewon Bantul, namely (1) group teaching method (2) psychodrama method (3) group discussion method..
