Abstract

The horror film genre aims to evoke fear, surprise, and terror. However, in Indonesia, horror films also incorporate religious elements, as seen in the movie Khanzab. This inclusion of religious elements can influence the attitudes of its audience, particularly in the case of Khanzab, causing changes in their demeanor, especially during night prayers. The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of watching the horror film Khanzab on individuals' attitudes during night prayers. The research methodology employed is quantitative, utilizing a simple linear regression test. The study's sample consists of 58 alumni from Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Putri, with data obtained through questionnaires and documentation. Quantitative analysis, specifically a simple linear regression test using SPSS 23, was applied in this research. The findings indicate a significant influence of watching the religious horror film Khanzab on the attitudes of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Putri alumni during night prayers. The results of the simple linear regression test reveal that watching Khanzab has an impact of 47.1% on the attitudes of the alumni in performing night prayers.
