Abstract

This research discusses parenting patterns in strengthening the character of students at the Pabelan Islamic Boarding School Education Hall, Magelang, Central Java. By implementing parenting patterns through various programs and activities, it can help strengthen the character of students. This research aims to describe and determine the forms of parenting patterns in strengthening the character of students at the Pabelan Islamic Boarding School Education Hall, Magelang, Central Java. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. There were eight subjects who were informants in this research, namely caregivers, caring mothers, students who practice community service, students who are administrators of organizations. Based on the results of this research, it shows that: (1) the forms of parenting patterns used at the Pabelan Islamic Boarding School Education Hall, Magelang, Central Java, namely authoritarian parenting, democratic parenting, and permissive parenting. (2) character strengthening at the Pabelan Islamic Boarding School Education Hall, Magelang, Central Java, containing the values of independence, honesty, discipline and responsibility.
