Abstract

Financial performance is one tool for knowing the results of a company's achievements in a certain period of Islamic banking. Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and social performance are two important factors that can influence the financial performance of Islamic banks. This research aims to analyze the influence of GCG, the Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB), and social performance on financial performance. In this research, 10 Islamic commercial banks were sampled from 2015-2022 using semester data. The data analysis technique uses panel data regression with the selected model being the Random Effect Model. The results of this research show that GCG and CSR have a negative effect on financial performance. Meanwhile, zakat has a positive effect on financial performance. Meanwhile, SSB and qard do not have a significant effect and have a positive relationship with financial performance. This research has implications for Islamic banks where Islamic banks need to implement appropriate strategies in implementing GCG and social performance so that there can be a balance and achieve optimal financial performance.
