Abstract

The madrasa head, as a person who has authority and power, should have a transformative leadership style. The reality that occurs in the field is that the head of the madrasah does not fully understand his duties as a leader. Furthermore, the quality of general education with religious characteristics, religious education and Islamic religious education will increase in 2021, as many as RA/MI/MTs/MA are accredited at a minimum of B 72.75%, only 71.28% has been achieved, the percentage of madrasa teachers who are certified educators should be 41.00%, only 40% has been achieved, the percentage of Islamic religious education teachers who are certified educators is targeted at 75.00%, only 38.45% has been achieved. The purpose of this research is to find out, Why is the transformational leadership of madrasah heads needed to improve superior human resources, How is the transformational leadership of madrasah heads in improving superior human resources, How is the contribution of transformational leadership of madrasah heads in improving superior human resources. This research method uses descriptive qualitative, data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation, the research subjects are madrasa heads, teachers, employees and students, data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, data validation, source and technical triangulation. The results of this research show that First, transformational leadership is needed to increase superior human resources, by means of leaders providing motivation and synergy between members and providing breakthrough innovations to make changes to increase superior human resources. Second, madrasa heads in improving superior human resources can be seen from the head of the madrasah in coming up with a strategy, namely by creating a performance atmosphere that is conducive, facilitative and increasing competence. Third, the contribution of transformational leadership of the head of the madrasah in increasing superior human resources, the head of the madrasah encourages increased development (IT) and productivity development
