Abstract

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is Turkey's 12th president to serve for 20 years, namely 2003-2014 as prime minister of Turkey and 2014-present as president of Turkey. During his reign, the Turkish economy experienced ups and downs, and the welfare of the people decreased. Economic policies taken by Erdogan seem to be impartial to the people such as the policy of raising fuel prices, as well as the Islamic economy of interest-free financing based on Islamic values that made the country experience a crisis shock. This becomes interesting to study because of the people or there is a motive of political intrigue. Therefore, researchers formulate several formulations of problems, namely how the forms of political economic policies of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and how the impact of Recep Tayyip Erdogan policies on society. In this study, a political approach was used to understand the political policies of Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The theory used in this study is the policy theory proposed by James Anderson. The methods used are the sajarah method, namely: heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. By conducting various relevant literature reviews, namely, books related to research, both from journals, articles, theses, dissertations and data from Google Chrome, Google Scholar, Library Genesis (Libgin), E-Book, and other data that is considered competent and accountable. This research provides a sympium that the political-economic policies taken by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan are infrastructure development, Islamic economic policy, fuel subsidy policy, intervention policy in the financial system, foreign policy, social development policy, women's empowerment policy, education program, poverty alleviation program, and economic crisis management. The impact of the policies taken by Recep Tayyip Erdogan has an impact on various sectors. The social sector can cause conflicts, in the energy sector cause waste, and dependence on fuel, and in the economic sector cause domestic economic instability.
