Abstract

This research aims to examine village community economic development strategies based on social inclusion and financial inclusion carried out by the Atsiri Research Center (ARC) through Cultivation in Baroh Geunteut Village, Lhoong District, Aceh Besar Regency. In this research, the author uses a qualitative method based on the philosophy of postpositivism, which means an in-depth, holistic, complex approach and mutual influence on development strategies carried out in the field involving the participation of all elements of village society. To obtain clearer information, the author focuses on interviews, documentation and direct observation. The theory used in this research is the theory of social inclusion and financial inclusion, which in its context explains in detail based on existing theory to become a reference basis for identifying and studying problems in a structured manner. The development model applied in the social inclusion-based village community economic development strategy includes organizing or grouping communities so they can actively participate in the development process. The community groups formed include patchouli farmer groups, compost groups, patchouli processing groups/kete houses, tourism awareness groups, and small business units involved in processing village derivative products. Meanwhile, in financial inclusion, the strategy implemented involves Bank Syariah Indonesia through BSI Maslahat in the Bangun Sejahtera Indonesia Village program, which is specifically aimed at farmers who need comprehensive financial/capital support, starting from training, land preparation, seeding, processing of harvests, to marketing, everything is fully facilitated for patchouli farmers in Baroh Geunteut Village, Blangme Village, Lhoong District, Aceh Besar Regency. This research shows that economic development of village communities based on social inclusion and financial inclusion has a large and effective impact, including job creation, economic growth and turnaround, development of new infrastructure in villages, as well as increasing village community resources in developing patchouli plants to produce quality oil.
