Abstract

Landslides have hit Bandungan Hamlet in East Ungaran Sub-district since 2022 and continued to expand until mid-2023. Subsurface lithology is one aspect that needs to be investigated because it is an internal factor in the occurrence of landslides. Further research on the incident has been conducted with the aim of knowing the distribution of magnetic field anomalies and identifying subsurface lithology with magnetic methods in the landslide zone of Bandungan Hamlet, East Ungaran. This research was conducted in the landslide zone and surrounding Dusun Bandungan, including settlements close to the landslide zone. Magnetic field measurements were conducted at 104 measurement points with a research area of 1.3 × 0.8 km. The results showed the magnitude of the magnetic field anomaly value of -17.1 nT - 882.2 nT with the magnetic field anomaly right in the landslide zone dominantly high. The identified subsurface lithologies are clay (1.2 × 10-6 SI) dominant at a depth of 0 - 45.11 m in Kaligetas Formation and 0 - 13.53 m in Kerek Formation, tuff, (14 × 10-6 SI) dominant at a depth of 5.64 - 40.85 m in Kaligetas Formation and 9, 78 - 104.9 m in the Kerek Formation, volcanic breccia (40 × 10-6 SI) is only found in the Kaligetas Formation and dominant at 16.22 - 59.16 m depth, and claystone (1.35 × 10-6 SI) is only found in the Kerek Formation and dominant at 2.26 - 90.22 m depth.
