Abstract

This thesis explains the effect of group work methods in improving speaking skills and students’ interest in Learning Arabic. The type of research used is quantitative. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The analysis technique used is in the form of analysis test. The source of data in this research is primary ie data that is taken directly without going through an intermediary so that it is obtained in the form of raw data. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the group work method on improving students' speaking skills. This is evidenced by the results of the output Pair 1, that the acquisition of the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 obtained by students in the pretest of 62.78 then the result of speaking skills on interest with a value of 84.17. So, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the value of speaking skills between the pre-test and post-test. the results of processing the t-coefficients test data based on the coefficients table, the value of tcount for the Group Working Method variable is tcount (3,022) > ttable (2,086), it can be stated that the Group Working Method variable has an effect and is significant on increasing students' learning interest.
