Abstract

Cases of sexual violence against children in Indonesia continue to increase significantly every year. Comprehensive sexuality education is needed to protect children from sexual deviation. However, sexuality education is still considered taboo by society. In fact, all aspects of learning related to sexuality education are explained in the Qur'an and Hadith. A new transformation is needed in sexuality education to overcome these taboo barriers that are adapted to developing norms, culture, and technology. Currently, it has been actualized by "Taucepat" through the Digital Platform for Islamic-Based Sexuality Education. Therefore, this research aims to explore Islamic-based sexuality education through the digital platform "Taupah" in an effort to build children's awareness of the risk of sexual violence. This research focuses on three aspects, namely: 1) reasons for choosing a digital platform for implementing sexuality education; 2) the Islamic-based sexuality education curriculum that was developed; 3) the implementation of this curriculum; and 4) its influence in building children's awareness of the risk of sexual violence. This type of research is qualitative and uses a case study method. The approach used is sociological and pedagogical, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were the "Taubuat team," the "Tauplus" teacher, and the "Tauplus" students. The research results show that the choice of digital platform is because technology has become a basic need in contemporary society, so "Taupah" aims to create an information forum and discussion space related to sexuality issues that is safe and easily accessible through a digital platform for Islamic-based sexuality education. The "Taupah" sexuality education curriculum is based on the Al-Qur'an and Hadith, while the material coverage refers to Tarbiyah Jinsiyah, Natural Sexuality Education, and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). The implementation process involves utilising the Zoom meeting platform with a variety of teaching methods and carrying out evaluations. As a result, sexuality education is recognised as important in increasing children's knowledge regarding sexuality, children's awareness regarding the risk of sexual violence, minimising taboos in society, and increasing the role of parents in implementing sexuality education at home. The implications of the results of this research can be used by various parties, including parents, teachers, the community, or policymakers, as a reference source in implementing sexuality education on a massive scale, both in families, schools, and communities.
