Abstract

Childern phase is an important phase where they start to learn about many things and organs in their bodies began to grow into the perfect level. However, this often becomes disturbed due to health problems. Implementation of child diseases expert system is one way of using computer technology to diagnose diseases suffered by children, this system is intended to ease the public especially parents to know the diseases suffered by children so that treatment can be done early. Expert system for child diseases developed using web based technology with PHP and PostgreSQL as an programming language and database server. In determining the certainty factor of user, this application using the question quantification method, certanty factor is a parameter values to show the amount of trust. From this research, the expert system application is able to diagnose the child's disease along with solutions and certainty level. However there is still a weakness, because the success of this diagnosis is very dependent on the knowledge base.
