Abstract

Muhammad Nur Kholis (19102030054). Thesis with the title "The Role of Social Institutions in Community Empowerment: Case Study of Omah Kreatif Loedji 16 Gunungketur Village, Yogyakarta". Islamic Community Development Study Program, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta. The background of this research is the improvement of the economy during the Covid19 pandemic in Gunungketur Village. This research aims to find out about Omah Kreatif Loedji 16 to improve the economy during the Covid19 pandemic in Gunungketur Village, Pakulaman, Yogyakarta. This research uses qualitative descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis in this study is by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions then data validity is carried out using triangulation. The result of this research is the role of social institutions in community empowerment: Case Study of Omah Kreatif Loedji 16 Gunungketur Village, Yogyakarta with several processes, these processes include planning, namely by targeting groups in need in Gunungketur Village, group needs in Gunungketur Village, designing programs and ways of implementation for members, determining funding for MSME results, inviting parties involved such as related communities, implementing programs from each Omah Kreatif Loedji 16 activity, and monitoring and evaluation of each activity. There are challenges in community empowerment in the Omah Kreatif Loedji 16 Educational Shop program from internal and external to the Omah Kreatif Loedji 16 organization.
