Abstract

This research discusses religious guidance in reducing stress for new prisoners in the Class II A prison in Yogyakarta. With religious guidance implemented through various methods and activities, it can help inmates, especially new prisoners, reduce stress. This research aims to describe and determine the implementation of religious guidance methods in reducing stress for new prisoners at the Class II A Detention Center in Yogyakarta. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this research were Religious Affairs Advisors, and 3 New Prisoners in the Class II A Detention Center in Yogyakarta. The results of this research show that the implementation of religious guidance in the Class II A Detention Center in Yogyakarta uses direct methods, namely: 1( Al-Qur'an recitation, 2( Lecture recitation, 3( Sharing session. Meanwhile, the indirect method is: 1( Organizing a Library, and 2( Making Posters
