Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying itself is a serious and complex social problem in many countries around the world, including South Korea. Often the phenomenon is then used as a theme in Korean dramas. "The Glory" is a Korean drama that has a bullying theme that represents various acts of bullying that occur against women in South Ko-rea. This study aims to explain the Scenes of bullying Scenes that especially occur to women in the Korean drama "The Glory" through the identification of signs with se-miotic analysis. The research approach is descriptive qualitative with analysis techniques using Roland Barthes semiotics which discusses denotation, connotation and myth. The results of this study reveal that bullying violence is shown by signs that include acts of violence such as slapping, grabbing, damaging the victim's body parts, threatening, demeaning, and even harassing victims of bullying cases.
