Abstract

This research aims to: 1) find out that the innovation of boardbook media based on the Sasak Putri Mandalika folklore as teaching material for teachers in instilling moral values in early childhood must be carried out; 2) find out the validation of the suitability of boardbooks based on the Sasak Putri Mandalika folklore as teaching materials in instilling moral values in young children; 3) find out how effective boardbook products based on the Sasak Putri Mandalika folklore are as a medium for instilling moral values in early childhood. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model (define, design, development, and dissemination). Data collection techniques include observation, literature study, and media validation. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative technique used to analyze data in the form of notes, suggestions and input from experts written on questionnaires/assessment instruments. Meanwhile, quantitative technical data analysis is used to analyze quantitative data obtained from product assessment questionnaires. This research resulted in feasibility based on the assessment of media experts with a percentage of 80% and material experts with a percentage of 90% as well as an assessment or response from teachers with a percentage of 80% in the very good category. Meanwhile, for assessing the effectiveness of the Sasak folklore Putri Mandalika boardbook media with a percentage of 83%. Based on the results of assessments from media experts, material experts, teacher responses and effectiveness assessments, it shows that the Sasak Putri Mandalika folklore Boardbook media is feasible and effective to be developed and used as a medium for teacher teaching materials in instilling moral values in early childhood.
