Abstract

This study aims to; 1) Understand the results of spider identification(Araneae) in Puyang Hamlet, Purwoharjo, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo, 2) Develop a booklet of spider species identification(Araneae) in Puyang Hamlet, Purwoharjo, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo as a student learning media, 3) Knowing the quality of the booklet of spider species identification(Araneae) in Puyang Hamlet, Purwoharjo, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo. This research consists of the research stage of identifying spiders(Araneae) in Puyang Hamlet and the booklet development stage using the Canva application. This type of research is R&D(Research and Development) research using the ADDIE development model but is limited to the Development stage. This spider identification booklet (Araneae) in Puyang Hamlet uses an instrument in the form of a questionnaire sheet, namely a questionnaire for expert assessment, biology teachers, and student responses. The results of research conducted in Puyang Hamlet, Purwoharjo, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo found 28 species of spiders (Araneae) which belong to 10 families, and 22 genera. The final result in the form of booklet print media was assessed by 1 material expert, 1 media expert, and 1 biology teacher. The limited test was conducted by 15 students of class X SMA N 1 Kalibawang. The results of the assessment by material experts received a score of 94% with very good quality (SB), media experts received a score of 88% with very good quality (SB), biology teachers received a score of 89.5% with very good quality (SB), as well as student responses get a score of 91% with very good quality (SB). Thus, the quality of the booklet Identification of Spider Species(Araneae) in Puyang Hamlet, Purwoharjo, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo is very good and is suitable for use as a biology learning media
