Abstract

The growth and development of Islam in Indonesia has shown that Islam in Indonesia is a tolerant and peaceful Muslim community that can live in unity with Indonesian society. However, recently radical movements and thoughts have emerged, always spreading an attitude of intolerance towards anyone who is different from them. Nahdlatul Ulama' is an organization that continues to stem radical religious teachings by instilling its Aswaja an-nahdliyah in educational environments. Alma University is one of the universities that upholds the values of Ahlussunnah Wal-jama'ah so that it can produce a young generation who are devout, have noble character, and have noble character, so that later they can become cool in life in society. This research describes and analyzes the transformation of Ahlussunnah Wal-Jama'ah values in fostering religious moderation, through the Aswaja Center program at Alma ata University, with research focus: 1). How to apply the transformed aswaja values in fostering religious moderation, 2). What is the process of transformation of Aswaja values in religious moderation, 3). What is the contribution of Aswaja values to student attitudes in fostering religious moderation at Alma Atta University? This research uses qualitative research with a case study type. Data collection used three methods, namely: observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this research use data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that: (1) the principles of Aswaja values that are transformed in fostering religious moderation at Alma Ata University are based on the values of tawasuth (moderate), i'tidal (fair), tawazun (balanced) and tasamuh (tolerance). (2) The process of transforming Aswaja values goes through three stages, namely: (a) Aswaja knowing, (b) Aswaja feeling, (c) Aswaja Action. Students are not only transferred knowledge and insight into religious moderation, but also practiced and applied. in life (3) The contribution of Aswaja values to students' social attitudes, namely students' impartiality towards anyone with an attitude that always accepts and respects differences in encountering and interacting with their environment, so that they can avoid problems in religious moderation.
