Abstract

One of the fintechs in Indonesia and used by the public is Indodana. In today's modern era, online credit is still an alternative for someone in debt, on the other hand, submissions that make it easier for users. Although it has risks in online credit, such as high late fees, short due dates, it is still vulnerable to fraud because there are still many illegal online credits. Seeing some of these online credit risks, people are interested in conduct research with reference to the main problem, namely: Why many people in Rungkut District use online credit, How is the review of the sociology of Islamic law on online credit preferences in Rungkut District. This research uses qualitative research using a sociological approach, and uses the type of field research (field research). The research methods used in data collection are: observation, interviews and documentation. Using the framework of the theory of accounts receivable (qard), preference, with a review of the sociology of Islamic law. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the people of Rungkut District use online credit based on urgent needs, business capital needs and daily needs. The factors that influence the people of Rungkut Subdistrict to use online credit are the convenience factor, where Indodana itself offers loans with fast disbursement of funds. This is the reason why people use online credit, the socialization factor, namely initially the people of Rungkut subdistrict were not familiar with online credit, but after it became available Indodana's socialization turned out to be one of the causes of the community getting to know online credit, communal factors, what is meant by communal is the influence of the community by its social environment, both relatives, family and friends, need factors, which can be mandatory financial needs and also the need to develop a business
