Abstract

The phenomenon of juvenile delinquency is increasingly showing things that are more destructive and disturbing to people's lives, both in small and large scopes. Such as behavior that violates status, behavior that endangers oneself and others, behavior that causes material victims, and even behavior that causes physical victims. One of the causes of juvenile delinquency is parental divorce. So there must be action to minimize the number of juvenile delinquents. The aim of this research is to find out and describe whether reality group counseling is effective in dealing with the delinquency of adolescent divorce victims in Jetak Wetan Hamlet, Klaten. This research is a quantitative research with a Quasi Experimental Design research design with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design model. The population in this study was 30 teenagers and the sample used was 10 teenagers who were selected using purposive random sampling. Data collection methods through questionnaires and observation. Meanwhile, hypothesis testing in this research uses the Paired Sample T-test. The calculation results from the Paired Sample T-Test for the experimental group obtained a sig value. (2- tailed) < 0.05 (0.016 < 0.05) and for the control group the sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) < 0.05 (0.034 < 0.05). In conclusion, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning that this reality group counseling service was effective in dealing with the delinquency of juvenile victims of divorce in Jetak Wetan Hamlet, Klaten and there was a decrease in the level of delinquency of juvenile victims of divorce as evidenced by the calculation of the average value of the N-Gain Score, namely that the experimental group had the average value was 134.4 and the control group was 51.9. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, researchers hope that institutions and parents can be more aware of teenagers' interactions. Because it is from the people and environment closest to them that teenagers begin to learn to grow and find their identity.
