Abstract

This research discusses the analysis of the potential in Dusun Sambilegi Kidul as an initial step towards establishing a sustainable tourism village. The research method used is a mixed method, allowing the researcher to collect and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data within the same study. This method aims to complement the research findings regarding the investigated events and to strengthen the research analysis. The research strategy analysis employed includes SWOT analysis and IFAS-EFAS strategy. The results of the study show that Dusun Sambilegi Kidul has various potentials, such as human resources potential, natural resources potential, economic resources potential, cultural potential, and supporting group potential. However, the most prominent potential is cultural potential. This cultural potential includes the arts of Jemparingan, Bergodo, Karawitan, Gejog Lesung, and Edan-Edanan dance. This cultural potential is further strengthened by the support of integrated community groups, such as the KWT Arimbi Group and the KPI Mina Sambi Makmur Group. These groups play a crucial role in the preservation and development of local culture. With strong cultural potential and supportive community groups, Dusun Sambilegi Kidul has a significant opportunity to develop into a culture-based tourism village. The SWOT analysis and IFAS-EFAS strategy indicate that Dusun Sambilegi Kidul possesses strong strengths and significant opportunities. Therefore, a Growth Strategy is recommended. The results of this study are expected to form the basis for developing sustainable cultural tourism strategies and increasing local community awareness and participation in cultural preservation efforts. This research suggests that the integration of cultural potential and community support is key to the successful development of a culture-based tourism village in Dusun Sambilegi Kidul.
