Abstract

Islam is the religion of rahmatan lil alamin which aims to create justice and equality on this earth including men and women. In fact, although the commandment has been clearly written in the Qur'an and Hadith, there are still many discriminating against women, including in the use of religious texts to preach especially in the new media. The Internet media has become a growing field of patriarchal culture through several things, besides that portraits of women's diversity are often displayed only through one point of view, that is to say, the Qur'an. This study aims to analyze how women-friendly publicity forms in the new media with a Neswa case study. The results of this research show that Neswa.id used the writings on its website with reference to some of the sciences such as the Qur'an, Tafsir, Hadith and other theories written using the perspective and experience of women. The principles of female-friendly worship are presented in several themes and categories in accordance with the purpose of Neswa.id, which is to create alternative expressions of women's diversity.
