Abstract

Over the years, the role of energy has become very important for humans, including renewable energy as a source of sustainable energy which is starting to attract world attention. This research aims to analyze the influence of Renewable Energy Consumption on Economic Growth in ASEAN-6 for 1999-2020. Apart from that, this research also examines the influence of the Human Development Index and Industry Value Added on Economic Growth. This research uses six sample countries in ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The data used is secondary data obtained from the World Bank and Our World in Data for 1999-2020. The data was processed using Stata 14 software and the analysis method used was panel data regression analysis with the fixed effect model method. The results of the regression analysis show that Renewable Energy Consumption, Human Development Index, and Industry Value Added have a positive and significant effect on Economic Growth in ASEAN-6 for 1999-2020.
