Abstract

The following research aims to analyze the role of public relations of the Sleman Regency General Election Supervisory Agency in the crisis management steps that occurred during the 2024 Simultaneous General Election Preparations. Conflict management theory refers to the steps taken by Rhenald Kasali and the theory of Role of Public Relations used belongs to Cutlip Allen and Broom. The following research was carried out using descriptive qualitative methods. Data was collected using structured interview techniques and document searches. Research informants were collected using purposive sampling technique. The validity of the collected data was confirmed using source triangulation techniques and analyzed using three analytical techniques initiated by Miles & Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Based on the research results, it is known that public relations of the Sleman Regency General Election Supervisory Agency is carrying out their role in crisis management steps that occured in preparation for the 2024 elections. This is seen from the four existing public relations roles they take, namely fact finding, planning, communication, and evaluation. Then, from these four roles it produces crisis management steps that taken for the crisis that occurred in the preparation for the 2024 election.
