Abstract

In the successful organization of a music concert event, the implementation of systematic teamwork and effective event management is imperative. Through proficient event management, an event characterized by organization, systematicity, satisfaction, and attainment of objectives can be realized. This is exemplified by the Dara Setara FSTVLST event, which is specifically dedicated to women. The aim of this research is to analyze the event management of Dara Setara FSTVLST as an endeavor to provide a safe space for women. Employing a qualitative research methodology with a descriptive approach and utilizing event management theory, data were obtained through interviews and documentation. The findings of this research indicate that the organizing committee executed event management proficiently with a structured and systematic approach. Nonetheless, there are several areas identified for improvement to further refine the management process. The Dara Setara FSTVLST committee undertook research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation stages to create a safe space, encompassing fortifying designated areas, preserving anonymity, ensuring inclusivity, providing separation zones, and executing control functions effectively and systematically. Each stage was executed with involvement from the relevant team members, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the context of the Dara Setara FSTVLST event, which serves as a campaign for gender equality and a women-specific event.
