Abstract

Child marriage is an old phenomenon that still occurs frequently today, bringing various negative impacts to those involved. These impacts include dropping out of education, which makes it difficult for them to find work due to their low level of education, as well as being vulnerable to experiencing domestic violence (KDRT) and disputes due to their unstable emotional condition. These situations often result in divorce. However, a different phenomenon is seen in Rejosari Village, where most couples who marry underage are able to maintain their household. So this makes the authors interested in researching further, why underage married couples in Rejosari Village can maintain their household. The type of research that the authors conducted was field research, the nature of the research was descriptive-analysis, using an empirical-sociological approach. Then the data needed in this research was obtained from the statements of eight underage married couples, families, neighbors and community figures, plus books or scientific works that had similar themes.
