Abstract

The Tahfidzul Qur'an program at MTs Binaul Ummah seems to be the main attraction and forms the identity of the madrasah as a Qur'anic-based educational institution. This program not only provides students with the opportunity to memorize the Qur'an effectively but also shapes strong Islamic character and identity. This represents the development of the Tahfidzul Qur'an program at MTs Binaul Ummah, which began in 2015. This study aims to examine several aspects, including: 1) To understand the strategic management concepts used for the development of the Tahfidzul Qur'an program; 2) To analyze the strategic management in the development of the Tahfidzul Qur'an program at MTs Binaul Ummah; 3) To identify the implications of strategic management in the development of the Tahfidzul Qur'an program at MTs Binaul Ummah. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data condensation, data display, and validity checks through source triangulation, followed by conclusion drawing. Based on the research titled Strategic Management in the Development of the Tahfidzul Qur'an Program at MTs Binaul Ummah Yogyakarta, it was found that: (1) The strategic management concept at MTs Binaul Ummah in the realm of developing the Tahfidzul Qur'an program has broadly applied the principles of strategic management, which include program formulation or planning, program implementation, and program evaluation; (2) According to the researcher’s analysis, the performance measurement of muhaffidz at MTs Binaul Ummah still has some weaknesses, particularly regarding the lack of a structured evaluation system. However, integrated evaluation efforts, including daily, weekly, and monthly evaluations, have helped improve the overall effectiveness of the Tahfidzul Qur'an program; (3) The implications of strategic management in the development of the Tahfidzul Qur'an program at MTs Binaul Ummah Yogyakarta include: a) directed planning; b) efficient resource management; c) regular monitoring and evaluation.
