Abstract

Poverty is a big problem in Indonesia, including in Central Java. The various policies that have been implemented by the government to overcome the problem of poverty have not been fully optimal. This research aims to examine the influence of the ZIS Fund variables, Human Development Index (HDI), Government Expenditures, Domestic Investment (PMDN) on Poverty in Central Java Province in 2016-2022. The analytical method used is panel data regression using secondary data from 35 regencies/cities in Central Java which is processed with the help of Eviews 9 software. The research results show that the distribution of ZIS funds, IPM, and Government Expenditures has a negative and significant effect on poverty, which means that an increase in these variables is correlated with a reduction in poverty. On the other hand, PMDN has a positive and significant effect on poverty, meaning that more appropriate policies are still needed to ensure that increasing PMDN also contributes to reducing poverty, considering the findings that current investment is directed towards capital-intensive industries that absorb less labor.
