Abstract

The Jo Kawin Bocah program is a movement and invitation for the community, especially in Central Java, to prevent early marriage. This program is an initiative of the Central Java Province Women's and Children's Service as a massive joint movement to prevent early marriage in Central Java. In Temanggung Regency, cases of early marriage are still quite high, in 2022 cases of early marriage will reach 414 cases of early marriage. Thus, there is a need for outreach regarding the prevention of early marriage, in this case the Jo Kawin Bocah Program to reduce the rate of early marriage. The Temanggung Regency PKK Mobilization Team is the spearhead of implementing this program. This research aims to find out how the Jo Kawin Bocah Program is implemented in reducing the number of early marriages in Temanggung district in 2023 and reviews the sociology of Islamic Law related to the Jo Kawin Bocah Program. This type of research is field research with an Islamic legal sociology approach, the nature of the research uses descriptive analysis, namely describing the implementation of the Jo Kawin Bocah program in reducing the rate of early marriage in Temanggung Regency so that it can be reviewed and analyzed using the sociology of Islamic law. Qualitative data analysis using deductive methods. Then the data collection method uses interviews and documentation methods. The results of research on the implementation of the Jo Kawin Bocah Program in reducing the number of early marriages in Temanggung Regency in 2023 are divided into two conclusions. First, the implementation of the Jo Kawin program by the PKK Mobilization Team was carried out by means of amplification and participation, in collaboration with the government, community and public institutions, namely GenRe (Generation Planning), as well as through mass media for wider dissemination of information. Second, Atho' Mudzhar's sociological theory of Islamic law states that the success of the program is influenced by religion, community structure, level of religious practice, social interaction, and support from community organizations. These factors play an important role in the implementation of the Jo Kawin Bocah program in Temanggung Regency. This program has succeeded in changing the views and practices of early marriage through education and participation.
