Abstract

The role of KUA extension workers in carrying out their duties is not only limited to assisting the heads in recording marriages, but the role of the head in spearheading the Ministry of Religious Affairs is very active. In accordance with existing regulations according to the regulation of the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 34 of 2016 concerning the organization and work procedures of the Sub-District Religious Affairs Office article 3 paragraph 1 states that the Sub-District KUA carries out several functions including: the implementation of supervision, as well as reporting marriage and referral, the preparation of statistics on services and guidance of the Islamic community, the management of documentation and management information systems of the sub-district KUA, Sakinah family guidance services, mosque guidance services, zakat and waqf guidance services, and Hajj management guidance services. As happened in KUA Kemantren Tegalrejo, there is a program to minimize the potential for divorce with the consultation method. Every community who wants to divorce, by local officials, is required to take consultation first at KUA Kemantren Tegal Rejo to maintain their household so as not to divorce. From this phenomenon, this study discusses how the implementation of consultation in KUA Kemantren Tegalrejo and how the involvement of religious extension workers in becoming parties who provide consultation in family problems that want to divorce. This research is a field research with a direct review of the location under study and with a deductive and inductive mindset, this research is descriptive-analytic with a normative-sociological approach. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation. In terms of religious extension procedures in minimizing the potential for divorce in KUA Kemantren Tegalrejo. The results of this study are known that: KUA Kemantren Tegalrejo in terms of providing consultation to its clients has several stages, namely First of all by registering with the administration, then the party concerned is directed to meet religious extension workers to carry out consultations. The implementation of consultations at KUA Kemantren Tegalrejo, carried out one to two times involving litigants and KUA extension workers. Tegalrejo KUA Kemantren Extension Counselors play an important role in minimizing the potential for divorce in Tegalrejo sub-district. A month there are three to four cases that use divorce consultation services at KUA Kemantren Tegalrejo. Extension workers are very competitive in performing their duties as conciliators when conducting consultations. Religious counselors also diligently broadcast in mosque pulpits and regular recitations to always understand the function of KUA.
