Abstract

This study discusses parenting styles in shaping self-esteem in children at the Caturanom Parakan Temanggung Village Posyandu. With the parenting style applied by parents and assisted through various programs and activities in Posyandu, it can help in the formation of self-esteem in children. This study aims to describe and find out the form of parental parenting in shaping self-esteem in children at the Caturanom Parakan Village Posyandu. The methodology used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects who became informants in this study amounted to eight people, namely the Caturanom Village Midwife, Posyandu Cadre, Parents (mothers of toddlers) and children. Based on the results of this study, it shows that: (1) the form of parenting used in Posyandu Caturanom Parakan Temanggung is authoritarian parenting, democratic parenting, permissive parenting. (2) parenting style fosters self-esteem in children at Posyandu Caturanom Parakan Temanggung with good and bad levels
