Abstract
Language development is an important step in developing thinking and learning abilities which has an impact on their overall education. The read aloud method is a stimulus that can be used to stimulate children's language skills, especially syntactic skills. This research aims to: 1) To find out the experiences of teachers using the real aloud method in Kindergarten/KB Merak Ponorogo; 2) To determine the increase in syntactic abilities of young children. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type of research. The data sources in this research are educators and children at Merak Kindergarten/KB. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. Qualitative data analysis was carried out by means of data reduction, data display (data presentation), conclusion. This research was conducted at the Merak Kindergarten/KB located in Ponorogo district. The results of this research show that: (1), the teacher's experience of using the read aloud method in Kindergarten/KB Merak Ponorogo is based on the importance of reading culture and character education for children from an early age. The implementation of the use of the read aloud method has 2 time settings, namely during the apperception before learning and during the extra read aloud which is intended for all students at Kindergarten/KB Merak Ponorogo. However, only a few are interested in taking part in this activity. The books used are school facilities which have different titles for each usage session. The teacher also provides exercises after each extra read aloud activity with the aim of establishing active interaction with children and involving children in read aloud activities directly. (2) the use of read aloud in Peacock Kindergarten/KB has the impact of improving children's syntax. Children who initially were only able to string together two words have progressed to stringing together three words and even making complex sentences to form stories. This is not only experienced by regular students or those who have normal conditions. Even children with special needs, namely speech delay, also show increased syntactic abilities. Increasing syntactic abilities in children can make it easier for children to express opinions and interact with the surrounding environment.
