Abstract
Quail egg production in Indonesia from 2022 to 2023 increased from 22,015.48 metric tons to 22,399.15 metric tons. This shows that the laying quail business has the opportunity to grow. However, there are several challenges in the supply chain that can hinder the smooth distribution and availability of products in the market. This is experienced in the quail egg supply chain at Mr. Iim's laying quail farm, which includes egg stock shortages, extreme environmental temperatures, unstable feed, and DOQ (Day Old Quail) prices. Therefore, this study aims to identify the occurrence and causes of risks and determine countermeasures. This research uses the House of Risk (HOR) method to identify risks and formulate strategies for handling them. The method is supported by the SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference) method to map business processes. After the analysis using these two methods, it is known that in the business process of Pak Iim's laying quail farmers, there are 12 risk events with 16 risk causes and 10 priority countermeasure proposals are obtained, namely building cages according to standard operating procedures (PA1), providing vitamins or vaccines (PA3), controlling disease (PA2), processing manure into fertilizer (PA4), mixing magot flour (PA5), improving feed storage management (PA7), providing fermented bran and tofu pulp as additional feed (PA6), finding alternative feed suppliers (PA8), making alternative feed (PA9), and finding alternative DOQ suppliers (PA10).
