Abstract

In the role of political parties to increase public political awareness by the S In the role of political parties to increase political awareness of the community by the DPC of the National Awakening Party of Sukabumi Regency as mandated by Law Number 2 of 2008, Political Parties function as a means of political education for the community so that they can gain participation and contribution from the entire community for the development of the Sukabumi Regency region to be even better in accordance with its abundant Natural Resources. This study uses a qualitative research type, while the methods used in this study are: direct interviews with the objects to be studied. The approach used in this study is empirical juridical which can also be called sociological legal research and field research. The data sources used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Interviews were conducted with the Chairperson of the DPC of the National Awakening Party of Sukabumi Regency and the Chairperson of the Election Winning Institution (LPP) of the DPC of the National Awakening Party of Sukabumi Regency and to find out what kind of political education for the community is implemented by the DPC of the National Awakening Party of Sukabumi Regency and what are the inhibiting factors in carrying out political education for the community. The results of this study state that the function of political parties based on Law Number 2 of 2008 Article 11 paragraph 1 is as a means of political education. Community political education carried out by the Sukabumi Regency National Awakening Party DPC is formal and informal education. At the City/Regency level, PKB formal education is known as the First Cadre Training (PKP) and informal education carried out by each PKB Member together with incumbent council members. PKB carries out indirect community political education through stages that have been available for a long time in the community such as weekly, monthly and even annual religious study stages and utilizing the facilities for council member activities facilitated by the state to carry out indirect political education with the community through recess sessions, socialization of the 4 pillars, socialization of Regional Regulations and so on to carry out political education for the community.
