Abstract
Indonesia is a country with the world's largest Muslim majority. Indonesia should be a country with a halal sector at the center of the world. However, currently Indonesia is still ranked third as a country with a halal sector in the world. Regarding this, Indonesia needs to develop its halal sector. In developing the halal sector, it is necessary to pay attention to the ecosystem first. In this context, this research will discuss the halal industrial ecosystem, starting from regulation, literacy, promotion and financing of sharia finance and how it influences the development of the halal industry. The object of this research is the Special Region of Yogyakarta, where Yogyakarta is one of the cities designated directly by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy as a city that can develop its halal industrial sector. The results of this research show that the literacy and sharia financial financing variables have a positive and significant influence, but the regulation and promotion variables have no influence on the development of the halal industry.
