Abstract
The purpose of this development research is to create a chemistry learning assessment instrument for atomic structure material using Wordwall. The study aims to evaluate the characteristics of the assessment instrument in terms of item discrimination power, validity, and reliability, as well as to assess the results of expert validation. This research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach using Tessmer's development model. Tessmer’s (2013) R&D model is divided into three stages: the preliminary stage, the self-evaluation stage, and the prototyping stage, which includes expert review, one-on-one, and small group evaluations. The prototyping stage is considered low resistance in revision, whereas the field test falls into the high resistance category in revision. The sequence of these stages is carefully followed to ensure the validity and reliability of the developed products. The subjects of this study were students of class X E2 at SMAN 4 Yogyakarta during the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The results of the study indicate that a chemistry learning assessment instrument using Wordwall was successfully developed. The instrument includes three templates: "Open the Box" with 30 questions, "Quiz" with 30 questions, and "True or False" with 60 questions. The item discrimination power test shows that all items across the three instruments are quite effective, with an average riX value of ≥ 0.300. The instrument is deemed valid, as the calculated r-value exceeds the r-table value of 0.444 at the 5% significance level. The reliability of the instrument is also high, with Cronbach's Alpha values of 0.932 for "Open the Box," 0.916 for "Quiz," and 0.964 for "True or False," all falling within the "very high" criteria. The expert validation results show that the material experts rated the instrument with a 92.5% validity, media experts with 86.6%, and reviewers with 84.4%, all of which are considered very valid.
