Abstract

This study aims to determine the career guidance method in improving career decision making of students of SMA Negeri 1 Kasihan Bantul. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. This study uses a qualitative field research approach that analyzes data descriptively. Data collection by conducting interviews and documentation, and data analysis using source triangulation. The results of the study showed that the career guidance method in improving career decision making carried out by BK teachers to students increased by using psychodynamic methods, behavioral methods, cognitive methods and development career counseling methods, as evidenced by 3 out of 4 students who experienced an increase in improving career decision making of students of SMA Negeri 1 Kasihan Bantul. Evidence of increased decision making by students is based on students who have been able to make career decisions who previously experienced confusion about careers.
