Abstract

The important thing in building a regional economy is good planning, because with good planning and the right policies it will affect the success of the economy in the area. The purpose of this study is to determine the basic or potential sector in the Tangerang Regency area which is reflected in the contribution of GRDP in the 2011-2021 time frame. This study is included in descriptive qualitative research and the data used is the data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analytical tools used in this study are Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, Shift Share analysis, and Class Typology analysis. The results of the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis show that there are five classifiers included in the basic classifier. The results of the Shift Share analysis show that there are seven classifiers that have competitive advantages because they have high competitiveness and positive values. The results of the class typology analysis divide each classifier into four classes: class I (advanced and rapidly growing classifiers), class II (advanced but neglected classifiers), class III (potential and developing classifiers), class IV (relatively lagging classifiers).
