Abstract

Unemployment is a big problem that is being faced by all countries in the world. Indonesia itself is the country with the second largest open unemployment rate in Southeast Asia. One of the provinces with the highest unemployment rate is in Banten. In the last 5 years, Banten Province has a fairly high unemployment rate on the island of Java. Several empirical studies show that there are many factors that affect the open unemployment rate, including GDP, government spending, and the minimum wage. The purpose of this study is to look at the influence of GDP, government spending, and minimum wage on the unemployment rate in Banten Province in 2010-2022. The method used is panel data regression analysis through the Random Effect Model (REM) approach. The results of the study show that GDP and government expenditure have no influence on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT). Meanwhile, the minimum wage has a significant negative effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT).
