Abstract

This study aims to 1) develop a science module based on science process skills for SMP/MTs students on quantity and measurement material, 2) determine the quality of a science module based on science skills for SMP/MTs students, 3) determine student responses and implementation of the science module based on science process skills for SMP/MTs students on quantity and measurement material. This research is Research and Development (R&D) research, this development research procedure is based on the 4-D model which includes 4 steps, namely (1) Define (2) Design (3) Develop (4) Disseminate, this research was carried out until the Develop stage. The research instrument are criticism and suggestion sheet for the validator, a module quality assessment sheet, and a student response sheet. The quality assessment of the science module using a Likert scale with a scale of 4 and student responses using the Guttman scale which is made in the form of a checklist. The results of this research is produce a science module of quantity and measurement based on science process skills. The quality of the science module based on the assessment of material experts with a score of 3,1 media experts with a score of 3,81 and science teachers with a score 3,83 These three scores received a very good (SB) classification. The students response to the module in limited trials obtained an average score of 0,94 with the agreed criteria (S). The science module based on science process skills on quantity and measurement material has good quality and acceptable to students, so it can be used as a reference teaching material by educators.
