Abstract

This research is based on the PAN-RB Minister's circular letter No. 06 of 2022 concerning the adjustment of the ASN employee work system from WFH to WFO according to the level of the PPKM region. The work transition from WFO to WFH then back to WFO is a new challenge for employees and agencies that has an impact on performance, motivation and work discipline. The purpose of this research is to find out how the performance, motivation and discipline of employees after the pandemic. This research is a qualitative research conducted at the Directorate of PAI of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. By using data collection techniques, interviews, observation and documentation on the object of research. The informant selection technique used purposive sampling technique, those selected were those who had positions as head of components, namely the Director of PAI, the Head of Sub-Directorate in the PAI environment and the Head of Sub-Division of TU PAI. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The data validity technique was carried out using the triangulation method of sources and techniques. The research results show that (1) Analysis of the performance, motivation, and work discipline of PAI Directorate employees after the pandemic shows a significant improvement. Performance improved in quality, quantity, and timeliness, with good effectiveness and commitment. Work motivation remains high despite the need for improvement in rewards. Social relations and employees' living needs are generally met, although facilities still need improvement. Work discipline which includes; time discipline, regulations, and responsibilities show that employees have complied with procedures in accordance with SOPs that have been regulated by the Institution. (2) Factors affecting motivation and work discipline at the Directorate of PAI are: first, work motivation is influenced by intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Second, work discipline is driven by self-motivation and compliance with clear rules.
