Abstract
Psychological well-being is a state within an individual that allows them to accept everything that has occurred in their life. This acceptance of past experiences serves as a foundation for further personal growth and the sharpening of existing potential. This study aims to explore the dynamics of psychological well-being, the factors that shape it, and the challenges and obstacles faced by disabled volunteers in the DIFAGANA DIY community and the Braille’iant Indonesia community. The research utilizes a qualitative approach with a single-case design, involving three participants from the DIFAGANA DIY and Braille’iant Indonesia communities. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, documentation, and interviews involving significant others. Data processing was conducted using the Nvivo application, which is part of the data analysis process and helps enhance the validity and objectivity of the research. The results indicate that the psychological well-being dynamics of disabled volunteers are generally positive. The researcher found that all three participants have good psychological well-being, evidenced by their ability to accept their disabilities as a unique aspect of their personal identity and their satisfaction with their own potential. The participants are motivated to remain actively involved as volunteers in their communities due to the support they receive from social networks and their reflection on personal experiences. However, in the development of psychological well-being among disabled volunteers, it was found that the participants often face social stigma, time constraints, safety concerns, and feelings of being undervalued. The researcher discovered that the formation of psychological well-being dynamics in these participants is influenced by their diverse volunteering experiences.
