Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of emotion regulation strategies and the factors influencing these strategies among graduate students working on their final projects. The research uses a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques employed include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study reveal two main findings. First, there are five forms of emotion regulation strategies among graduate students working on their final projects at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta: Situation Selection, Situation Modification, Attentional Deployment, Cognitive Change, and Response Modulation. Second, there are six factors influencing emotion regulation strategies among these students: Cultural Factors, Religious Values, Personality, Individual Skills, Psychological Condition, and Environmental Factors.
