Abstract

In today's digital era, reliable internet availability is a crucial factor in supporting operations across various sectors, including education. SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta faces challenges in managing bandwidth usage, which can impact the quality of internet services and the learning process. To address these issues, the school implemented a monitoring and bandwidth management system based on the Si mple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) using Cacti software. This system enables more effective network management with real time monitoring, early problem detection, and more efficient bandwidth allocation. Through the implementation of SNMP and Cacti, SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta has optimized the performance of its LAN network. The process of monitoring bandwidth usage has become more structured and automated, leading to improved internet service quality. Additionally, this approach helps prevent network congestion and ensures that the school's digital needs are well met, supporting the achievement of modern educational standards that rely on technology. The success of this system implementation not only enhances the efficiency of network management but also supports the digitalization process within the educational environment. With a stronger network infrastructure that is ready to face future digital ch allenges, SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta demonstrates its commitment to providing high quality internet services that support smooth operations and the learning process.
