Abstract

This research explores the representation of female body aesthetics in model photography published on Darwis Triadi's Instagram account, with a focus on sensuality. In this context, sensuality refers to how the female body is represented in ways that can evoke sexual appeal. The study also investigates how the line between sensuality representation and the potential for pornographic content is determined in Darwis Triadi's works. The research findings reveal that there are elements of sensuality that occasionally appear in Darwis Triadi's model photography. While this content generally does not venture into the realm of pornography, there is the potential for viewers to interpret some of the works as sensual. The research acknowledges the complexity in defining the boundaries between sensuality representation and pornographic content in model photography on social media. As such, this study offers a deeper understanding of how female body aesthetics and sensuality play a role in model photography presented on Instagram and expands awareness about the boundaries that regulate art and pornography content in the digital realm.
